We work closely with you to find the right materials, finishes and mounting methods for your piece, whether that's fine art, textiles, photography, or something entirely unexpected. Every frame is custom-built with care, precision and a designer's eye.

Hi, I'm Alex and I help people make confident framing decisions.
With a background in engineering, a lifelong love of art, and years spent learning the craft of custom framing, I've built Moot Point Studio around thoughtful design, quality workmanship, and personal service.
Whether you're framing an original artwork, a family photograph or a treasured keepsake, I'll help you find a solution that feels right for both the piece and the space it will live in.

STUDIO EDITION
A curated series of artist releases, made simple.
Every few months we introduce the work of a new artist, thoughtful, considered, and not widely available in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Each release is a small collection of prints, framed in-house to a conservation standard and ready to hang.

Not at all. Send us a photo and a few details and we can talk through your options before you visit. When you're ready, we'll arrange a time that suits you.

Absolutely. Textiles, needleworks, jerseys, photographs, certificates, memorabilia, if it matters to you, it's worth framing properly.

Yep! We can stretch raw canvas, primed canvas, painted canvas, printed canvas. Our stretchers (the frame that the canvas is stretched over) are made in the studio using NZ pine to the exact size required.
